Nanoxeal

Masonry, brick and stone

Masonry protection

Nanoxeal is a water-based repellent for brick, stone and masonry. It reduces how much water the wall absorbs while staying breathable, so it does not trap moisture inside the material.

What damages masonry

  • ·Efflorescence: white salt deposits on the surface
  • ·Freeze spalling when water gets in and then freezes
  • ·Stains and soiling
  • ·Mortar joints that crumble with moisture

What Nanoxeal does

  • Water-repellent: reduces the water absorbed by brick and mortar
  • Breathable: lets water vapor escape from the wall
  • UV and weather resistance
  • Discreet, water-based finish

Frequently asked questions

Can the wall still breathe?
Yes. Repelling liquid water and letting vapor through are two separate properties. This class of repellents lines the pores without blocking them, so water beads up while vapor escapes.
Does it protect against efflorescence?
By reducing water penetration, it limits the salt transport that causes efflorescence. The result depends on the condition of the wall and the conditions.
Does it change the look of the brick?
The goal is a discreet finish. Always test a small, low-visibility area before treating the whole surface.

The coverage (1,000 to 1,200 sq ft per 19 L pail, two coats) and the protection duration (up to 15 years) are the manufacturer specification, not independent lab results. Always test a small area before treating the whole surface.
