Concrete and slabs
Concrete protection
Nanoxeal is a water-based repellent for exterior and exposed concrete: driveways, slabs, garage floors. It reduces the water and salt solutions the surface absorbs while staying breathable.
What damages concrete
- ·Surface scaling caused by de-icing salts and freeze-thaw
- ·Dusting: surface powder
- ·Water absorption and stains (oil, etc.)
What Nanoxeal does
- ✓Water-repellent: reduces the water and salt solutions absorbed by the concrete
- ✓Breathable: water vapor escapes
- ✓Water-based, for exterior and exposed surfaces
Frequently asked questions
- Does it help against de-icing salts?
- By reducing absorbed water and salt solutions, it limits the freeze-scaling mechanism. Treatments in this class (silane and siloxane) are recognized for improving salt-frost resistance. Real performance depends on the concrete and the application.
- On a driveway or garage floor?
- Yes, those are typical concrete surfaces. The concrete must be clean and dry before applying.
- Does the concrete need to be new?
- No, but it must be sound and clean. Badly deteriorated concrete should be repaired first.
The coverage (1,000 to 1,200 sq ft per 19 L pail, two coats) and the protection duration (up to 15 years) are the manufacturer specification, not independent lab results. Always test a small area before treating the whole surface.
